In our entire life, we surely have encountered many people as we grow up. From the youngest to the oldest, there are various kinds of personalities we met. Each carries their own uniqueness based on their life experiences, which are interspersed with universally known feelings such as happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, surprise, and anger.

The human feelings is basically a product of evolution in which shapes us to be a superficial social being. Feelings could make a connection between beings, be tied like a bond, and even break boundaries.

We might have encountered a friend who feels like a soulmate, the one who understands us best. We create bonds with them, emit feelings of happiness mixed with comfort, and spread kindness from acts of taking care of each other. Thus, brings positive vibes from the lights of happiness for both parties.

However, there are other feelings that haunt us deep in our minds. A dark, shadowy friend called sadness. It would come in a sudden, and won’t go as easy as it steps in. A lot of us have struggled in the battle of feeling sadness and made our minds a scattered shipwreck.

The two–happiness and sadness–somehow related, like a bond of soulmate. They are contrary feelings that can create connection, and also break it. Well, in most cases, disappointment is where it got started, especially disappointment from someone to who we feel bonded. It is scary that an event can be a total breakdown for one who gets disappointed.

We, as a human, often try to avoid taking new steps and experiences, as these will likely lead to disappointment, which causes sadness. We are too scared to face the truth ahead.

Sadness is not as bad as we thought, in fact, we can take control of it by 'cheat' our mind using words. The following sentence is for those who still struggle in a shadowy battle inside their mind:

A broken branch might seem vulnerable, but the main stem still stood strong. Sadness from disappointment won’t define us as a vulnerable being, but to teach us to grow more happiness from within, and this is the true strong.

Human feelings are complicated, there are uncounted random experiences that affect how we feel about a certain event. Learn to control what we feel will help us grow to be wise when facing the unexpected ahead.

He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.

- Friedrich Nietzsche
